In lane

Phantom Lancer
• Phantom Lancer can disjoint Soul Assumption with Doppelganger. • Phantom Lancer can close the gap in lane with Phantom Rush. • Phantom Lancer's illusions quickly remove the layers of Gravekeeper's Cloak. • Visage's damage is fully single target and he cannot deal with illusions.
Anti-Mage
• Visage likes to play from afar in lane, spamming Soul Assumption. Anti-Mage can easily Blink on him to threaten a kill. • Anti-Mage can Counterspell to reflect the Soul Assumption.
Disruptor
• Glimpse, Kinetic Field and Thunder Strike are all great abilities in lane to secure a kill in case Visage tries to fly away or over terrain with Silent as the Grave.

Infused Raindrops
• You should buy this item early to mitigate some of the damage of Soul Assumption.
