How to counter Terrorblade
In lane
- • Terrorblade struggles to deal with Ion Shell in the lane. • If Terrorblade activates Metamorphosis, the enemy can just Surge away. • Terrorblade is an illusion hero which means the illusions Dark Seer makes are very strong.
In game
- • All of Terrorblade's damage is single target which makes him not very good at dealing with Phantom Lancer's illusions. • Phantom Lancer can disjoint a lot of the slow projectile attacks with Doppelganger. • Phantom Lancer with Aghanim's Scepter creates an illusion for every unit he Phantom Rushes through. Terrorblade has a lot of units with his illusions.
- • Terrorblade is very susceptible to magic damage. Techies is one of the highest magic damage heroes who can burst heroes with his combo. • Reactive Tazer can be very annoying as it can disarm Terrorblade and his illusions.
- • Winter's Curse can annihilate the real Terrorblade, or one of his allies, if it catches him. • Cold Embrace is a good save against the physical damage of Terrorblade. • Splinter Blast can help damage and slow the illusions.
- • Dragon Knight can be a very tanky anti-carry hero to deal with. • Breathe Fire gives a damage reduction to all units hit. • Dragon Tail can be AoE in Elder Dragon Form which means Terrorblade and his illusions can be all stunned. • Fireball deals AoE damage. • Dragon Knight buys Shiva's Guard nowadays which is a good item against Terrorblade.
- • Terrorblade is a very high damage hero. If he gets caught with Berserker's Call and Blade Mail he can die within its duration. • Terrorblade fights with his illusions which means attacking Axe will make Counter Helix proc a lot. • Battle Hunger can slow down Terrorblade who is already not very mobile in Metamorphosis.
- • Terrorblade is a high armor hero. Natural Order reduces his base armor to ZERO.
- • Marksmanship ignores base armor which can shred Terrorblade as he is a high armor hero.

- • The slow and active damage component is great against Terrorblade and his illusions. • This item gives much needed armor against Terrorblade.
